Description
The hobbit Frodo Baggins is the reluctant heir to the One Ring, an artifact of incredible power that corrupts its owner. The Ring must be destroyed in the place where it was first forged: Mordor, the realm of the evil Sauron. Frodo undertakes the quest to return the Ring to Mordor, accompanied by the rest of the Fellowship: Gandalf the Wizard, the hobbits Merry, Pippin, and Sam, Gimli the Dwarf, Legolas the Elf, Boromir of Gondor, and a tall, mysterious stranger called Strider--as Sauron seeks throughout the world for the Ring in a final bid for domination.
