Description
Bridge Between Two Worlds charts the remarkable journey of three newly arrived refugee children Filimon, Martin and Mujtaba through the last six months of an intensive English course at Highgate Primary School. Their stories, told from the children's own perspective, allow an audience unique access into their emotional world. Bridge Between Two Worlds a beautifully intimate portrait of their struggles and their triumphs marked by laughter, tantrums and tears. Their journey as they come to terms with a new language and a very unfamiliar society reveals how these children’s infectious enthusiasm and their sheer determination helps them overcome enormous obstacles in their path. Bridge Between Two Worlds is a story of survival, resilience, and optimism. At the same time, it provides a touching, dynamic and entertaining insight into the ever changing face of Australian society.
