One evening in the Lamplighter Tavern, a stranger sits down next to Tim Carrier and transforms his world. In a case of mistaken identity, Tim is handed a manila envelope containing the photograph of a woman, her name and address written on the back, and several thick packets of 100-dollar bills. Later, when an intense-looking man sits down and glances at the manila envelope, Tim knows he's the one who was supposed to get it. Thinking fast, Tim says he's had a change of heart, removes the picture and hands the envelope to the stranger. But the company of strangers has cost Tim his peace of mind, and quite possibly his life.
